About

1020Architecture is an architectural design workshop based in New York.

Mission: Deliver successful projects which integrate good design with the process of building.

Why:  An Architect's job shouldn't end with a set of construction drawings. We believe the best projects happen when architects are more involved in the building process.

How: Our practice's model is based on a design build delivery method.  This means we focus on working with a builder throughout design and construction of the project.

The People

John A. Doria, AIA, NCARB, CCM, LEED Green Associate is a registered architect in the State of New York and Florida and a Certified Construction Manager.  His experience includes residential projects both new and additions, multi-family condo and apartment buildings, hospitality, education, cultural, and also transportation and infrastructure projects.  John's education includes a Master of Science in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute.  He is also a member of the Construction Management Institute of America, the American Institute of Architects and a LEED Green Associate.  Outside of practicing architecture, John is an adjunct professor at New York Institute of Technology where he teaches architecture, construction management and interior design courses.
